A moment can arrive in life when what you’ve been orienting yourself around — identity, direction, certainty — no longer fits like it used to.
You’re still living your life.
Maybe working, parenting, functioning.
But internally, something has shifted. And you're lost.
What used to matter doesn’t feel as important anymore.
What you built no longer feels like you.
And even if nothing obvious has changed on the surface, you know you’re no longer standing in the same place.
This isn’t something you can think your way through.
You need to know where you are.
There’s often a catalyst — sometimes obvious, sometimes not.
It might follow a relationship ending, a change in work or health, or a loss.
Or it can arrive quietly, through an inner or spiritual shift that’s hard to explain.
Either way, something no longer fits — and you can feel it.
Get Your Bearings is an online orientation session offering support during life transitions, spiritual awakening, and periods of deep inner change.

Carrie has helped me after my cancer diagnosis, treatment and moving forward to rebuild my life.
I have tools now in which to refer to when things get difficult.
This is the moment Get Your Bearings is for
When an internal shift has happened and you can't see the woods from the trees...
You don’t yet have the words or perspective for where you are
You may feel detached from your life
Unsure how to explain what’s happening to yourself (let alone the people around you)
Quietly questioning things you can’t answer on your own.
There can be sadness, grief, loss, or a sense of meaning dissolving — because something is changing.
You don’t want to get pulled under by it.
You just want to understand what’s happening.
Sometimes what’s most unsettling in moments like this isn’t the emotions themselves — it’s that the life that once made sense no longer holds you in the same way.
This isn’t a failure or a flaw. It’s a threshold.
A point where old ways of being stop sustaining you, and something deeper begins to ask for attention.
Get Your Bearings exists to help you recognise what kind of moment this is, before you decide what comes next.
Get Your Bearings is a one-off orientation session.
It isn’t therapy.
And it isn’t about deciding what to do next.
It exists for one reason: to help you understand where you are after something inside has shifted.
Not to analyse everything.
Or process your whole life.
Just to make sense of where you're at.
We meet 1:1 on Zoom for around an hour.
You talk through what’s been happening, in your own words — as much or as little as feels right.
I listen, and help you make sense of it by placing your experience on the Lifequake Map, so what you’re going through stops feeling vague or overwhelming.
Together, we look at:
where you seem to be right now
what usually belongs to this part of the journey
what tends to help at this point
and what often makes it feel harder than it needs to be
You’ll receive the map afterwards, so you have something to keep track of where you are.
Get Your Bearings exists because that moment — when something inside you changes and nothing makes sense anymore — is rarely named or explained.
When I was lost, I needed a map.
And I needed to know where I was on it.
Otherwise, how could I understand where I’d been — or what this moment was actually asking of me?
Without that orientation, it’s easy to head off in the wrong direction.

Most people leave with a sense of relief.
Not because anything dramatic has happened, but because what they’re experiencing finally has a place.
They stop going round in circles in their head, trying to work it out alone
They find words for something that’s been hard to describe
They know where they are
And that quietly changes how the weeks or months ahead feel.
