Sometimes life doesn’t fall apart.

It shifts.

And suddenly the ways you used to cope don’t quite work anymore.

Your energy is lower.

Your mind won't settle and you find yourself overthinking everything.

Emotions seem to surface out of nowhere.

You're still functioning — but something inside feels unsettled.

Steady Ground exists for this moment.

It’s support that helps you feel steadier while life rearranges.

This support is for people navigating...

  • burnout or emotional overwhelm

  • health changes or recovery

  • loss, endings, or identity shifts

  • perimenopause or hormonal change

  • awakenings or a sense that something has changed, even if you can't articulate it yet

These are threshold moments.

And thresholds need the right kind of support.

You might recognise yourself here:

  • lying awake replaying things on a loop, wondering why you suddenly feel lost in life

  • holding it together for everyone else while running on empty

  • feeling disconnected from how life used to feel

  • feeling stuck but not knowing how to move forward

Nothing is wrong with you.

You’re in a life transition —
and transitions often bring stress, anxiety and overthinking while life rearranges itself.

Why this happens

Periods of transition often bring a mix of emotional and physical responses.

You might notice things like:

  • difficulty sleeping

  • anxiety or racing thoughts

  • feeling unusually emotional or numb

  • questioning things that used to feel certain

  • a sense that something inside you is changing

These responses are common when life shifts.

The nervous system is trying to adjust while your mind and identity catch up.

That’s why steadiness matters more than pushing for answers.

This is for you if you're:

  • Riding emotional waves that come out of nowhere

  • Living with chronic stress that won’t fully settle

  • Navigating a life change that’s knocked you sideways (even if, on paper, it 'shouldn’t have')

  • Questioning things that used to feel certain.

You know the moment...

You’re carrying on with life, but something no longer feels aligned.

Your mind won’t stop — replaying, second-guessing, analysing.

Emotions spill over unexpectedly — tears, irritation, numbness — and you’re left wondering what’s happening to you.

What Steady Ground actually is

Steady Ground is coaching-led, whole-person support for people navigating life transitions, stress, anxiety, and periods of deep inner change.

Over 12 weeks, we work with what’s actually present for you:

  • emotional processing

  • nervous-system support

  • practical life decisions

  • health and lifestyle foundations

  • values, direction, and boundaries

  • spiritual integration where appropriate

We steady things first, make sense of what’s happening, and then support you to move forward.

The Steady Ground container

Steady Ground runs over 12 weeks, giving space for things to settle and shift without rushing the process.

It includes:

  • 6 online sessions (one every two weeks)

  • 60 minute sessions on Zoom

  • Practical tools and simple practices

  • Space to reflect, process and work through what’s actually happening in your life

This slower rhythm gives things time to land, rather than trying to force change in a single conversation.

About Carrie

Hi, I’m Carrie.

I’ve spent many years supporting people through stressful periods, health challenges and life transitions.

My work blends practical regulation tools with reflective coaching so people can steady themselves first — and then find their footing again.

What we can work with together

Steady Ground is flexible and responsive — so we work with what’s actually present for you.

This might include:

  • Stress, anxiety, or feeling constantly on edge

  • Learning simple ways to calm the nervous system when anxiety takes over

  • Emotional overwhelm, burnout or long periods of stress

  • Unhelpful or repeating patterns in relationships

  • Sleep struggles or difficulty sleeping because your mind won't switch off

  • Navigating health changes or supporting recovery

  • Reconnecting with food, energy, and daily rhythms

  • Mindset shifts and building emotional resilience

  • Making sense of deeper inner change or life transitions

You don’t need to tick a box or arrive with a clear problem. We start where you are and work with what’s real.

What tends to shift over the 12 weeks

Over 12 weeks, the shifts are often subtle — but deeply stabilising.

  • Your nervous system settles so you’re not constantly on edge

  • Emotional overwhelm stops running the show

  • You understand the phase of transition you're moving through

  • No longer feel like you’re quietly falling apart behind the scenes

  • Rebuild trust in your own judgement

  • Know what supports you now, not what used to

Most people don’t need answers straight away.

They need space, perspective, and someone steady alongside them.

That’s what this container provides.

This isn't for everyone

Steady Ground isn’t for someone looking for:

  • a quick fix

  • constant reassurance

  • to be told what to do

  • deep therapeutic processing

It's for people willing to slow down, reflect honestly, and take responsibility for how they move forward — with support.

A note on deeper transitions

Some people who come into Steady Ground are navigating what’s often called a dark night of the soul — a period where old identities fall away and life can feel empty, confusing, or painfully stripped back.

It’s not something everyone goes through.

And it’s not something you need to label yourself with.

But if this territory feels familiar — or you want to understand how I work with it — I share my own lived experience of this phase, and what helped me move through it, here.

FAQs

WHAT HAPPENS IN A STEADY GROUND SESSION?

Each session is shaped around what’s most present for you that week.

Some sessions are reflective.
Some are practical.
Some help clarify decisions, boundaries, health, or next steps.

The aim isn’t to endlessly analyse the past — it’s to help you steady yourself and move forward with confidence.

WHAT TOOLS DO YOU USE?

Steady Ground is coaching-led, not technique-led.

Depending on what’s needed, this may include:

- guided reflection and perspective work

- nervous-system and somatic support

- practical health or lifestyle guidance

- intuitive, shamanic or spiritual coaching where appropriate

If something more targeted (like hypnotherapy or NLP) would be helpful, I’ll tell you — and we’ll look at that.

WHAT KIND OF RESULTS CAN I EXPECT?

Most people notice they:

- feel calmer and more settled

- have clearer perspective on their situation

- stop feeling stuck in loops of overthinking

- trust their decisions more

- feel better resourced emotionally and practically

Over 12 weeks, the work compounds.

You’re not just talking things through — you’re integrating support and acting from a steadier place.

IS THIS LIKE THERAPY?

No. Steady Ground is coaching, not therapy.

It’s forward-focused and practical, while still allowing space for emotion and reflection.

We may reference the past where it’s helpful — but only in service of helping you move forward.

If you’re looking for long-term therapeutic processing, this wouldn’t be the right fit. If you want support, clarity, and momentum during a life transition, it is.

IS THIS CONFIDENTIAL?

Yes. Everything shared is treated with care and confidentiality.

This is a professional, respectful space where you don’t need to perform, explain yourself, or hold it all together.

ARE SESSIONS ONLINE OR IN PERSON?

All Steady Ground sessions are held online via Zoom.

This allows you to receive support from your own space, without travel, and to integrate the work more easily into your week.

HOW DO I BOOK?

Simply click the booking button on this page and choose your first session date.

You’ll receive confirmation and your Zoom details straight away, along with guidance on how the 12-week journey works.

WHAT'S THE INVESTMENT?

£750 for 6 sessions over 12 weeks

WHAT'S YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

You can reschedule or cancel a session with at least 48 hours’ notice.

Sessions cancelled within 48 hours are non-refundable.

Lucy

Carrie is amazing, she has the most relaxing voice. As soon as I hear her speak I am automatically put at ease. Carrie has helped me so much with different issues. Including confidence and fear through hypnosis and NLP techniques. I really can't thank her enough.

Emma

I cannot recommend Carrie enough. She is a wonderful life coach and lovely person. Carrie has helped me through difficult times and struggles with stress and anxiety. She has given me great coping strategies and is always the best person to help me get into a really calm place where you can think clearly.

Toni-Sue

Carrie is a naturally empathetic person who is interested in others and helping them to reach their goals. In addition to the actual therapy, Carrie has also sent me so many resources and recordings to supplement the therapy. Thank you Carrie.

You don’t need to have everything figured out before you begin.

If life feels different right now — if things feel unsettled, uncertain, or quietly changing beneath the surface — Steady Ground offers calm, steady support while everything rearranges.

Together we start by stabilising things and helping you find your bearings again. From there we work on calming the nervous system, understanding what’s happening inside you, and gently untangling the patterns, emotions, and pressures that have built up.

As things settle, space opens to reconnect with who you are now — and what the next chapter of your life might look like.

You don’t have to rush the answers.

You just need steady ground while they begin to appear.
